Yossi Sassi - Releasing Third Album This Year

Multi-instrumentalist Yossi Sassi, known as one of the founding members of Orphaned Land, is releasing his third solo album this year. The band has started working on the new release and since it will be self-released, a pre-order has been set up and all the incomes from the orders will be used to finance the recording of this album, titled Roots And Roads. According to Yossi, this album will be heavier and feature many guest vocalists as well.

The Foreshadowing - New Album Cover, Tracklist Revealed

Italian gothic doom metallers The Foreshadowing previously announced a new album scheduled to be released on April 15th 2016 via Cyclone Empire Records. While we wait for it to drop, the band has revealed the cover artwork as well as the tracklist for the upcoming album, Seven Heads Ten Horns. The artwork is the creation of Seth Siro Anton of Septicflesh's fame. Both can be viewed below.

Karl Willetts - Vocalist Reveals His New Band

It's been a while since Bolt Thrower released their last album and it looks like the band won't record anything in the near future. After all, their drummer sadly died last year. But, here's some good news to whet the appetite of Bolt Thrower fanatics! Their legendary vocalist Karl Willetts decided to start his own death/grind band called Memoriam. Other members included in this project are Frank Healy (Benediction), Andy Whale (ex-Bolt Thrower) and Scott Fairfax (ex-Cerebral Fix).

Avatarium - Announce New Live Bassist

Doom metal act Avatarium have a new live bassist. While Leif Edling won't be able to tour with them, Anders Iwers who has been playing with them live for two years will not join the band now. They are bringing in bassist Mats Rydström for their upcoming shows.

Týr - Drummer Leaves Band

Faroese Vikings Týr have lost their drummer Amon Djurhuus Ellingsgaard who served them as a fill-in drummer back in 2008, and became a permanent member in 2013. For the time being, Amon will continue to be a member of Heljareyga, the brainchild of Týr's vocalist and guitarist Heri Joensen.

Confess - Iranian Band Jailed, Facing Possible Execution

This is concerning. According to reports, members of Iranian thrash/metalcore band Confess have reportedly been jailed and are facing a possible execution for playing metal. Two musicians were arrested in November 2015 and could potentially face execution for charges of blasphemy.

Delain - Release Upcoming EP Samples
