Down - New EP Details Unveiled

Behold, fresh news from the Down camp. The sequel to Down IV - Part One is finished and set for release. It will simply be called Down IV - Part Two and will be released on May 13th, 2014. The new EP was tracked at Nodferatu's Lair (vocalist Philip H. Anselmo's home studio) and produced by Michael Thompson. The rest of details - artwork and tracklist - can be checked out below.

Exmortus - Premiere New Video

Californian metallers Exmortus have released a new music video for "Foe Hammer" track, taken from the band's latest album Slave To The Sword, released by Prosthetic Records earlier this month, on February 4th to be exact. Exmortus are currently on a North American tour, together with Dark Tranquillity and Omnium Gatherum.

Triptykon - Tom Warrior Releases Statement About Album Box Set

Triptykon's mastermind Tom Gabriel "Warrior" Fischer just released a statement about the band's new album Melana Chasmata special box set Century Media will be making available. Tom personally recommends fans not to buy it. He says it does not represent Triptykon even though the label can market the album as it pleases.

Lantlôs - Streaming New Track

Rejoice Lantlôs fans because the atmospheric metal project just released the first taste of new music taken off the new opus Melting Sun. The album will be released via Prophecy Productions on the 2nd of May. While you wait, enjoy the album's first single "Melting Sun I: Azure Chimes" below. Callisto - Sign With Svart Records, New Album In November

Post-metal band from Finland Callisto and Svart Records have agreed on a record deal that will put the band's fourth, yet untitled, album out this November 2014. A long, nearly 12 year journey with Fullsteam Records has thus come to its end. The band's latest album, Providence, was released more than 5 years ago (February 18th, 2009).

The Skull - Releasing Debut Album This Year

Some of you have probably heard of The Skull before. This is the new band featuring original members Eric Wagner (vocals) and Jeff "Oly" Olson (drums) of American doom metal legends Trouble alongside longtime Trouble bassist Ron Holzner and Sacred Dawn guitarist Lothar Keller. The Skull have inked a deal with Tee Pee Records, the NYC record label known for releasing landmark albums from acts such as High On Fire, Graveyard, Earthless and Sleep. The band will follow the release of new songs with its debut full length album, tentatively slated for release this autumn.

Rage - Releasing 30th Anniversary CD/DVD

Heavy metallers Rage are preparing to celebrate their 30th band anniversary with the release of a unique collection of songs from their back catalogue. The Soundchaser Archives will contain 30 tracks on two CDs, covering everything from previously unreleased material or versions, demo recordings to fractions of ideas that finally went to find clear sonic ground. Additionally, it will contain a bonus DVD including the Rage performance of last year's Masters Of Rock festival.

Arkan - New Album Title And Release Date
