Now he has responded to the official statement released by the band last month where not much was said regarding the details of his departure. It seems that we are going to see some legal battles in the Köld north as Guðmundur Óli Pálmason is preparing to take this matter to court.

Cult Of Luna have announced new shows in North America, scheduled for September this year. The Swedes are going to be sharing the stage with Minsk, Kylesa, SubRosa and InAeona on select dates. Cult Of Luna had announced a three-date North America tour in May, but they cancelled due to visa issues and said the tour would be rescheduled for September. The good news is that the tour has more shows now.

Recently, the legendary heavy metal band has also been awarded the prestigious O2 Silver Clef by Nordoff Robbins in recognition of "outstanding contribution to UK music". Previous winners include The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Genesis and Queen. Last year's Silver Clef winner was Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin). Singer Bruce Dickinson, and guitarists Adrian Smith and Janick Gers were in attendance to collect the award.
