After The Burial - Issue Statement On Guitarist's Meltdown

After The Burial have responded to their guitarist's meltdown earlier this week. Justin Lowe posted a lengthy rant on Facebook (which now appears to have been removed) accusing the other members of various bizarre actions and basically leaving the group. However, according to the band, the guitarist is ill and is getting some help right now. He was not in a sound state of mind.

K.L.L.K. - New EP On The Way

K.L.L.K. are preparing the release of a new EP called Between The First Heliocentric Wind And The Great Devourer Of Light. The cover artwork has now been revealed as well. It was created by DPHN. Death Angel - Release Live Track

Death Angel have released a live rendition of the song "Fallen". The track will appear on their upcoming The Bay Calls for Blood - Live In San Francisco live album, which will also be included with the release of their new Thrashumentary DVD. John Haughm - Streaming Collaboration Album With Mathias Grassow

John Haughm, of Agalloch fame, has recently released a collaboration album with Mathias Grassow, Auræ, which can be listened to here. This is not the first time these two have worked together, as the album Mosaic is also a collaboration between the two. Ambient drone musician Mathias Grassow has collaborated with Agalloch on a track called "Nebelmeer" and Agrypnie as well.

Caligula's Horse - Join Inside Out Music Roster

Caligula's Horse have taken an important step in their career. The up-and-coming alternative progressive metallers from Australia have signed with record label Inside Out Music (of the Century Media family). It's about time they release a follow-up to 2013's The Tide, The Thief & River's End. The band has shared photos from the studio recently. Hopefully, they are recording new tracks. We will have to wait for more updates on that.

Dodsferd - Working On New Album, Cover Unveiled

Black metallers Dødsferd have recently finished the recordings of their new album. Titled Wastes Of Life, the mixing and mastering of the album will soon start at the same studio, at D Studio, in Athens, Greece, by Michael Karpathiou. Wastes Of Life is going to be released later this year by Moribund Records in digipak CD format and by Talheim Records in gatefold LP format. You can already see the album artwork here created by S.D. from Vision Black and Razorbleed Productions.

Revocation - Recruit Former 3 Inches Of Blood Drummer

Revocation recently lost their drummer and founding member Phil Dubois-Coyne, who decided to leave the group. His replacement will be none other than Ash Pearson! He is the band's new full time drummer and is most well known for his work in 3 Inches Of Blood, now disbanded. Revocation is complete again.

Shining (NOR) - Perform On Cliff In Norway

Shining (NOR) are releasing a new album this year on Spinefarm Records. But before that, they tried to reach for the sun as they performed on top of a 2,300 foot cliff in Norway! On June 21st, on the solstice and longest day of the year, the Norwegian blackjazz band Shining (NOR) played the world's first concert on top of a grandiose mountain structure hanging out 700 meters-that's nearly 2300 feet-above the ground. A fan-filmed clip of the concert can be seen below along with amazing shots from the event and a video from the band where you can hear a snippet of new music.

Silent Voices - New Single Announced

Finnish progressive metallers Silent Voices have announced a new single which is going to be released on July 2nd. The brand new song "Darkest Night" will be released via Inner Wound Recordings. Silent Voices are also celebrating their 20th anniversary and for the milestone, they completely re-recorded the track "Glassheart" with the new line-up. "Glassheart" was originally recorded and released on the album Chapters Of Tragedy in 2002.
