Corrosion Of Conformity - Recording New Album, Studio Clip

North Carolina legends Corrosion Of Conformity are currently recording their next album, the follow-up to the well-received self-titled record issued via Candlelight Records in late February 2012. The forthcoming album, untitled at this time, will again feature the trio of vocalist/bassist Mike Dean, guitarist Woodroe Weatherman, and drummer Reed Mullin. Testament - Bassist Splits With Band, Replacement Announced

Testament announced on their official website and Facebook page that Greg Christian, the band's original and longtime bassist, has departed after a nearly-nine-year second term with them. The band's statement fortunately indicates that the split is mutual, and also saves us all the anticipation of waiting for the replacement. None other than Steve DiGiorgio has stepped in to fill Christian's shoes.

Surrender Of Divinity - Frontman Murdered By Fan

According to Bangkok Post, Samong Traisattha, the 36-year-old lead bassist/vocalist of Thailand's black metal band Surrender Of Divinity, was stabbed to death in his house. On January 9th, a self-styled Satanist posted on his Facebook page that he was the one who murdered Samong "Avajee" Traisattha. Jaruvan Surapol, 34, the musician's wife, told police that the killer was Prakarn Harnphanbusakorn, a fan of her husband's band. Prakarn had gone to the singer's house on Wednesday night to screen print some shirts and have a few beers. After the wife had put her child to bed, she went to check on her husband and encountered him stabbed over thirty times and Prakarn gone.

Kuolemanlaakso - New Album Details And New Song

Svart Records has set a February 28th release date for Kuolemanlaakso Tulijoutsen ("The Fire Swan"), the Finnish death/doomsters' second album and their most ambitious work to date. The 50-minute magnum opus was inspired by the grandeur of the Finnish forests, serene eeriness of the lakes, and early 1900s poetry and folklore. The first song of Tulijoutsen to be revealed is "Tuonen Tähtivyö", which can be heard in its entirety below.
