Carnation - New Album Recordings Have Begun

Green Carnation - To Release First Album In 14 Years

Green Carnation have exciting news to share. Norwegian progressive metallers have finished the work on their new studio album, which will be their first after The Acoustic Verses (2006). Green Carnation have also announced that they have recently signed a new publishing deal with AMF Music Publishing. Niklas Sundin will create the cover art of the upcoming album. Green Carnation - To Headline ProgPower Europe 2020 Edition

Norwegians Green Carnation have been confirmed as the first headliner (day 1) of the ProgPower Europe 2020 edition (02. - 04.10.2020). The festival will once more happen in Baarlo (NED) at JC Sjiwa venue. Other acts confirmed in this first announcement are: Avandra, Abraham Sarache and Sunless Dawn. Norwegian progressive metal innovators Green Carnation just announced the release of Last Day Of Darkness (DVD/CD package, gatefold 2LP) - a potent live release honoring Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness, one of the most important prog metal releases, set for August 24th through Prophecy Productions. After a crowdfunding campaign that made the whole project possible, the band and production team, in collaboration with Prophecy Productions are thrilled to present a 95 minute documentary and concert film based around their 2016 world tour celebrating the 15th anniversary of Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness and the grand finale in the band's native Kristiansand.

Roadburn 2016 continues to shape up with a string of new announcements today. Are you ready? Well, first of all, Green Carnation will perform their entire masterpiece, Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness, on the fest. Amenra will be playing a rare acoustic show, plus a fully electric mass; The Skull are also playing two shows. It seems like 2016 could be a memorable year for Green Carnation. At least, their fans will be able to enjoy the 60-minute concept song masterpiece Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness being performed live with a full production on the album's 15th anniversary. The Norwegian progressive metallers reunited in 2014 to play Under The Dam for the second time. Later this year, they will also perform at Norway's Blastfest 2016.

Green Carnation - To Reunite, Announce Special Show

If you love Green Carnation, you will love this. The Norwegian progressive metal legends will reunite in the summer of 2014. It was announced that the band is going to do their second concept show A Night Under The Dam deep into the mountains in South Norway on July 31st. The show will include both acoustic and plugged parts and showcase songs from all of their five albums. Who knows if this is the beginning of a comeback with maybe a new album. One can dream...
