Epica - Confirm 2014 Spring Release For New Album
Epica have released an update now that their Requiem For The Indifferent touring cycle is over. As previously announced, the band will not be playing shows in the upcoming months due to Simone Simons' pregnancy but during this time, the group will complete the Retrospect DVD and the recordings for the new album start at the end of this summer for a 2014 spring release.

Epica - To Stop Playing Live For A While, New DVD Coming
The Dutch symphonic metal band Epica has confirmed that they will stop playing live from the 1st of July due to Simone Simons' pregnancy, but the DVD of their 10 year anniversary called Retrospect will be hitting stores next fall. In other good news, the group also plans to write a new album in the second half of 2013 and release it in 2014.

Epica - To Celebrate 10th Anniversary With Special Performance
On March 23rd, 2013, Epica will celebrate their 10th anniversary with a special performance entitled "Retrospect" which will take place in the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven, in their home country The Netherlands. "Retrospect" will be Epica's most ambitious project to date, joined by a 70-piece symphonic orchestra and choir, international guests and many special effects.

Epica - Writing New Material
Dutch symphonic metallers Epica are currently working on new material. The band has already nailed down 11 tracks and will be hoping to enter studio sometime next year. The band had this to say: "Already about 11 new tracks have been written for the next album. We don't know yet when we'll record it (somewhere in 2013) but this material sounds killer so far! Wouldn't be surprised if many people gonna like those songs."

Dutch symphonic metal band Epica has released the following statement about parting ways with the bassist Yves Huts and his replacement: "It is with sadness that we announce that Yves Huts and Epica have decided to part ways. Epica - Offer Free Download To Correct Production Mistake On New Album
Requiem For The Indifferent, the new album from Dutch symphonic metallers Epica has been released on March 9th in Europe and four days later in North America via Nuclear Blast Records but the vocals seem to be missing on the last track of the album, "Serenade Of Self-Destruction". To compensate for this production mistake, the band has now made the song available for free download without the initial technical glitch.
