However, they have been working on a new album recently to follow that. The band is currently in the studio, working on their 10th studio album, set to be released in 2016. Having returned from a successful European Tour, Theatres Des Vampires are now set to embark on a Latin American Tour in 2012.

The band states: "It has been since 2006 that Theatres des Vampires have long been awaited in Latin America, thanks to the support and love of hundreds of Latin American fan clubs. The dream of all the followers of Theatres des Vampires in South and Central America will come true! More details will be available soon."

In other Theatres Des Vampires news, the band is also working on a Moonlight Waltz Tour 2011 DVD and live CD. The DVD is a recording of the Russian and European Tour with HD cameras, and Professional Digital Audio equipment.

The band continues: "At the moment Fabian Varesi from Theatres des Vampires and Christian Ice from Temple of Noise Studio are working together to finalize a new upcoming DVD and live CD.

This new release will be produced by Aural Music/Dreamcell11 in a deluxe Artbook that will contain both the live DVD and the live CD plus some brand-new unreleased songs and an exclusive roadbook of 50+ pages! The Live DVD will include the whole concert in Moscow at Plan B club, pro-recorded with multi-angle Hd Cameras. As a special bonus, the DVD will contain a long and exclusive backstage documentary of the whole 2011 European Tour. The Audio Cd will have the great quality of the latest TdV productions.

It's the FIRST time ever that Theatres des Vampires have released a live DVD recorded by a great staff with high professional equipment, as you will remember, the last DVD live from Theatres des Vampires - The Addiction tour 2006 - was made using low-fi clips made by fans of the band. Italian bloodsuckers Theatres Des Vampires are all set to release their new album, called Moonlight Waltz, on December 3rd 2010 via Aural Music. The album was recorded in July at Temple of Noise studios in Rome, Italy with producer Christian Ice (who was involved on all the latest Theatres des Vampires releases).

A preview of one of the new songs "Carmilla" will be available on the band's MySpace page starting from mid-September. A video for that song will be filmed next weekend (August 28-29) with director David Bracci, who previously worked with the godfather of Italian horror movies Dario Argento.

In a recent interview, Theatres Des Vampires keyboardist Fabian Varesi stated the following about the new material: "This album has the best production of our entire career. And we are delighted by the quality of Orchestration parts, thanks to the help of Maestro Luca Bellanova and the amazing performance of the Classical Music Academy of Rome. Of course there are some typical Theatres Des Vampires songs - but with something new, as usual. As we always say, with each album we want to make something new, something fresh, and I think these songs go along these lines."

Theatres Des Vampires will promote the new album by touring Europe and South America in late 2010 and 2011.

Aural Music announced that the first pressing of the album Moonlight Waltz will be released in a deluxe limited Slipcase Edition including an special bonus DVD with exclusive video material, the making of the album, interviews and more.

Theatres des Vampires announced their decision to take a break for really serious personal problems. In this statement posted on Theatres Des Vampires's website, keyboardist Fabian Varesi explained:

"Sonya has been having a nervous breakdown for a huge psychological stress linked to some really serious family problems. She cannot follow any planned activities this period cause her precarious health condition. We are really worried for Sonya's health and it would be almost impossible for us to carry on at this moment. We hope that all ours fans could understeand the reason for this temporary break."

Further news on Sonya Scarlet's health will follow as soon will be available.

'Bring Me Back' will be the main track of the film, from his latest production Desire Of Damnation. Besides of 3 re-arranged versions of Jester's Shadow, Carnival Day and Curse Of Headless Christ.

They also confirmed his participation on the album, "Listen The Children Of The Night" with a remix of "La Danse Macabre Du Vampire". The original version of this song is part of the "Desire Of Damnation" album.

OM Animation Studio will follow the realization of the videoclip 'Bring Me Back' from the album "Desire Of Damnation", and this videoclip will be included in the upcoming DVD: "Murnau The Vampire".

Italian gothic metal band Theatres Des Vampires will release a new double CD, "Desire Of Damnation (The Addiction Tour)", in February 2007 via Plastic Head/Blackend Records. The set will include a CD with the audio version of the recently released DVD (Plastic Head Video) and a separate disc with four new studio songs, three remixes, one special version of a medley featuring "Vampyrica" (2001) and "Suicide Vampire" (2002), performed by the tenor voice Franco Carta (Vampyre Dionysus) and arranged and directed by composer Stefano Lazzoni.
To promote this new album, Theatres Des Vampires will play several shows all around Europe next year. A release party will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Slimelight in London.

The first official DVD from Italian Goth Metal cult band, Theatres Des Vampires!!

Theatres des Vampires, decided not to replace Alexander, the male singer that left the band a few months ago. Scarlet, the female-singer of the band, will continue singing. In this way the band feels that the fans will not at all be betrayed. Scarlet was already beloved by the fans and leaving to her all the singing parts looks like the best way to continue playing without making a dramatic change from the past.

The next album will thus feature a lot more female singing than ever before. The male singing parts in the new album will be realized by special guests that will be announced soon.

Theatres des Vampires would like to thank all the fans and the people that sent tons of demos in this 2 months from all around Europe asking to take the place of the male singer. A lot of you are great singers, but now we feel that it is time to make a musical change for Theatres des Vampires.

Scarlet, as of today is the perfect choice for our band and we feel that with her as a frontgirl we will be able to realize all our musical vision for Theatres des Vampires.

After 10 years of history Theatres des Vampires have split from the singer Alexander.
This happened in the recent days.
After 3 months of discussions and a formal stop of activities, Theatres des Vampires was forced to stop the collaboration with the singer Alexander.
The singer during the last year suffered for a badly and distructive form of jelousy against some members of the band as Scarlet (the well know she singer of the band) and Fabian the keyboard player and main compositor of the band.
This caused major problems and a virtually impossible continuing of activities of the band in this kind of situation.
The band fronts 2 options, or disband the band or fire out who has been the problem in the last months.
And the decision is taken.
Theatres des Vampires, in according with the official Management Tim Fraser and the label Plastic Head decided to stop the collaboration with the singer Alexander and at today are searching for a new singer to replace him.
For the moment all activities of the band are freezed while searching for the new singer.
