Uneven Structure - Reveal New Album Teaser

Djent band Uneven Structure has been hard at work preparing the follow-up to Februus. Now the group has revealed some of the new tunes. You can listen to the new album teaser through the clip below. At this point, the band hasn't disclosed the release date yet but their label Basick Records promised it would be this year.

Vagos Open Air 2014 - Opeth, Soilwork And More Announced

The Portuguese festival Vagos Open Air 2014 will take place at Quinta do Ega in Vagos, from August 8th-9th, 2014. After announcing the first confirmations Kreator and Epica, the organizers now confirm Swedish bands Opeth and Soilwork for the festival. Joining these bands will also be Murk, a Portuguese band that just released the EP Tyrants Of Decay.

Sleep - New Album In The Works

A new Sleep album after so many years? It seems like their reunion is finally resulting in new material judging by a recent interview with bassist/vocalist Al Cisneros. Via phone, Cisneros recounts intense rehearsal schedules for both stoner three-piece Sleep and experimental drone band Om and confirms a solo EP dropping on Drag City, and also albums in process for Sleep and Om.

Maruta - Release New Video

Grindcore outfit Maruta have recently released a brand new video for the song "Devoid Of Allegiance", which was directed by Gennadi Pinski and Andrej Pavlov. This track is off the output Forward Into Regression that came out in 2011 via Willowtip Records and should hold you over a bit until the group's next record surfaces this year via Relapse Records. Process Of Guilt - To Begin Recording New Split

Portuguese metallers Process Of Guilt announced that the studio sessions for their upcoming 12'' split with Swiss band Rorcal will start soon. This will be the first new material since releasing their latest album Fæmin in 2012. In November, Process Of Guilt had confirmed that they were working on new tracks for the split and that you should "expect nothing less than both bands going further inside their own search for extremity."

Fortíð - Release New Video, Complete New Album

Black metallers Fortíð are celebrating the start of 2014 with the release of a video for the title track from their 2012 album Pagan Prophecies. The video was filmed and edited by Hannu Mikola of Visual Vortex and includes footage of the band performing live during their 2013 tour of Finland, as well as a series of images that point to the doom of mankind. The video for "Pagan Prophecies" can now be enjoyed here.

Cavalera Conspiracy - Recruit Converge Bassist

Recently, Cavalera Conspiracy announced that 2014 would be the year they would release a new album on their new label Napalm Records to finally follow Blunt Force Trauma. Converge's long-time bassist Nate Newton has confirmed that he will be playing on Cavalera Conspiracy's new opus. Johnny Chow, the group's previous bassist, seems out of the picture now. But fear not because Nate isn't leaving Converge.
