After months of deciding and several different covers, The Eternal finally have the artwork for Under A New Sun complete. The cover artwork and several images in the booklet are based on photography by fantastic Romanian photographer Felicia Simion.
Under A New Sun was recorded at the 301 Studios in Byron Bay in December with producer Jeff Martin (The Tea Party). The album was co-engineered by Paul Pilsneniks (The Living End, The Mars Volta) and features a guest contribution of acclaimed Finnish keyboard player Maria Ilmoniemi (Tarja).
Four 50 second samples of the songs "Under A New Sun", "Delirium & Desire", "The Sleeper" and "Cast In Stone" are still streaming at the band's MySpace, while you can find a live acoustic version of "The Sleeper" below. The song is performed by The Eternal's singer/guitarist Mark Kelson, together with Jeff Martin (who produced the album) and contributed vocals to this track on the album version and his bass player Jay Cortez, in Melbourne at The Corner Hotel on May 14th, 2010.
An official release date is still to be confirmed.
