Hmm... the song is pretty good, but still not as vital, or as venemous as the best stuff with the Hoffman Bros. Still might be worth checking the album out though. lol

It does lack something... they couldnt really ever top "Legion" though in terms of visceral mayhem. lol

The part from 0:17 sounds like the chorus of "The Chains Of Power" by Kataklysm...
I like it though, and the cover is gorgeous imo

Yes, good description of 'Legion'. Particularly at the time it came out, the 'Legion' album actually sounded kinda 'evil'.. rather than just 'fast with some naughty words' or whatever!

This new song is OK, and it's nice in a way that Benton's sticking to his guns lyrically (although some of the lyrics sounded a bit naff!) But yeah, it's a bit 'safe' and basically what you'd expect Deicide to sound like in 2011. Pretty good, but God's not quaking in His boots anymore...

I have now heard 2 new Deicide tracks "To Hell With God" and "Hang In Agony Until You're Dead"
In my opinion, i like "To Hell With God" alot more than this one.

Fucking keen for this record

Hehe, thanks!

"Legion" still sounds evil today. At the time it came it out, it was downright terrifying to me. Even now, "Satan Spawn, The Caco Daemon" and "Revocate The Agitator", gives me the willies!

The new song is good, certainly above average stuff. The production, as someone already mentioned, is a bit thin. Though it could just be a bad quality MP3 giving the impression of poor production. But, you're right, god isnt quaking in his boots anymore! There was a genuine malevolance, and menacing vibe on the early Deicide stuff. That even now, contains the power to unsettle. That's the main issue I had with the new song, is it doesnt have that power. And truly classic Deicide, does have it. Still, Im looking forward to giving the new album a try though! Could be their best yet without the Hoffmans, as the new song sounds better than most of the stuff from the last 2 albums. xD

I noticed that they've announced a new tour as well, with two dates that are within reasonable distance from my home... I am a happy man.

Sounds ok, I mean, I like almost everything on Deicide's discography, their last two albums are good, but they can turn boring after some time, still I'm waiting to listen to this new effort, I hope it won't sound similar to their previous two albums.

I find this song uninspired and a bit boring. i hope the other songs to be better but i have a bad feeling about this album. No Stench Of Redemption here i think...

edit after listening to the 2nd song: i really hope they'll prove me wrong, i'll surely give this album many listenings but i think it will be even worse than the decent "till death do us part".

Yeah the production sounds like shit, and glen's voice sounds way different than it did on the previous 2 albums.

I'm actually a little disgusted by how quickly Deicide was able to dig their own grave, shoot themselves in the head 10 times, and fall on their face at the bottom of the hole. This new material is just an insult; I think Deicide has just committed suicide.
