Hail Of Bullets - Part Ways With Vocalist

Dutch death metallers Hail Of Bullets have just announced that they are parting ways with vocalist Martin van Drunen after nine years and three recorded albums. He has been in the band since the beginning, so this is a big change. The remaining members say that this is not the end of the band but did cancel the upcoming shows.

Stated the band: "We are sorry to announce that Martin van Drunen is no longer part of Hail Of Bullets. On a personal level it's no longer possible for us to continue the cooperation with Martin. Unfortunately this means we have to cancel all upcoming shows until further notice. This does not mean the end of Hail Of Bullets. The main reason for starting this band 8 years ago was our mutual love for real Death Metal and to have fun playing our favourite kind of music and we did not want to lose this 'fun part'. We acknowledge the fact that Martin's a good singer with a distinctive voice but he's not the only great singer on this planet. We wish him all the best in his future career. To be continued..."

Hail Of Bullets' third album, III: The Rommel Chronicles, was released in October 2013 via Metal Blade Records.

Hail of Bullets has been around for almost a decade already? Christ, now I know what Marcel feels like constantly.

And as much as I like van Drunens vocals, its not like we're losing a whole lot. I mean, we've still got his 80 other bands that sound comparable to HoB.

Grand Supreme Blood Court is apparently on hold (or at least that's the rumour going around in the grapevine)

That's it for Marin's vocals.

And to be honest he has never been in many bands. Let me see... he was in Pestilence, Bolt Thrower (though never recorded with them), Death By Dawn, and one or two demo bands.

Weird. I guess it was just 2 or 3 years ago he released 3 albums with 3 different bands, so I started thinking of him as being in a ton of bands.
