Messa - Release Cover Of 'Hellhound On My Trail'

Italian doom masters Messa have just released the cover of "Hellhound On My Trail" (originally by Robert Johnson), as single. The song was recorded in 2016 at Mal De Testa Studios by Daniel Grego. All the profits coming from this song, from both physical and digital sales, will be given to ICS, a non-profit organization that helps refugees, asylum seekers, and people needing subsidiary and humanitarian protection. Copies of the 7" will be shipped at the end of August and can be ordered here.

The band said:
"Back in 2016 we published a flexi, featuring our recording of 'Hellhound on my trail' by Robert Johnson. Our friend @peoplestemple.888 made the cover artwork, @maldetesta_recordingstudio did the recording and @slimer_records printed 30 copies of this flexi. It's sold out since a long time.

"Many people asked us to reprint this record, and we decided to give an extra purpose to this release. This edition is designed and printed with love by @dont_gloat_records and features a wooden case engraved with our logo. Inside the case you will find the 7" screenprinted transparent flexi, a lyrics insert, a poster and a limited patch too. We decided to give all the profits from this 7" to ICS, a non-profit organization that helps refugees, asylum seekers and people needing subsidiary and humanitarian protection.

"ICS was born in Trieste in 1998 and their work in the past 20 years has been important for many people in the Northern Italy territory. We will wire the money collected from both physical and digital sales directly to the association, who will use this donation to support people and great projects. You will find the 50 hand numbered copies in our Bandcamp, until stocks last. There is a starting price, but if you want you can add some extra money for the donation. Thank you for supporting this project!"
