While eagerly waiting for the release of their new full length The Cosmic Race (out on January 12), Scanner shared news about the departure of drummer Boris Frenkel and concurrently introduced Sascha Kurpanek as his permanent replacement.

The band comments: ''We want to spread the good news here. From now on Sascha Kurpanek beats the drums for Scanner and replaces Boris Frenkel. Boris made the decision for himself to take it easier for personal reasons, so we say thank you to him and wish him happiness and health for the future. Let's give Sascha a warm welcome here. Welcome on board, Sascha!"
