Young's (stout)

Young's chocolate stout is particularly tasty. Not a huge fan of Fuller's porters though.

St Peters Cream Stout - exelent stout 6.5% alcohol, best stout what I have drunk long time , bitter taste, good 0.5 bottle , I hate 0.3 and so on, so exelent, defebetly I will buy more in closest days

Innon and Gunn orginal and rum taste
shit beer , modern teenager pop beer, no taste, seems to me chemicaly made, both tasted same, no effecxt I dont feel alcohol at all, IMO I wasted money, but you never know if you dont try

Cans are actually better than bottles now. improvements in lining guarantee quality whereas light damages the beer, so cans> brown glass > green glass > clear glass for retention of quality while it sits on a shelf.

a lot of US craft brewers are increasingly switching to cans for a variety of reasons, partially quality, partially out of environment concerns.

I may be ruining this thread from these ardent beerheads but....

Honestly? A very uncomplicated and concrete stuff i can put up from my side..................... RED BULL.

Irish made like Guinness, Killkaney, Murfies whit rotting ball inside yes, but still all beers what i drink I prefere do it from bottle and from can it dont taste so good, and its easier to drink from bottles, can you need a glass

Even a n00bie should understand that since it's obvious beer, wine, whisky, liquor and other kind of alcoholic drinks have special glasses for a reason and I highly doubt the reason is to just look pretty.

If you have special glass, I boght 2 beer glasses and I have some german type of beer cups in Lv, but
its easier drink from bottle if you go outside like have a barbqu, or simply sit outside, its easier from bottles then a cans
When I didnt have special beer glasses in Swe I drunk from bottle, when I bought I put it in the glass

Now it is summertime and I and friends time to time go outside and drink beer , we never take glass , simply bottles , if we barbique even then suasege, kebab, stake, rary glasses

I know it's not my place here, as I'm still 3 years under the legal limit, but has anyone ever had Steamwhistle? They're an extremely Eco friendly brewery out of Toronto. The make a solid lager, and that's it. Only the one, nothing else, as their slogan is do one thing really well or something like that.

I bought 2 glasses at march, i had beer glass , real guinness one pint, but it broke at christmass time, so 3 months I did not have, and I overspend my money because I thought I will get more and my job will be more hours then it was
I have ordiary glasses, but Í prefere special beer glasses and beer cups like in Germany,
Besides my aparment is tiny, so I dont but loads of stuff, next year when welder courses will be over (what I will start at autumn) and I get real job then I will but thinks and all, just now I have no place ,

Alcohol in canada is legal from 21
in my orfin country it is from 18 but I bought from 16 , it was possible in biker and metalhead shops(owned by metalhead and biker)
Box car - lol I drink it from bottle to, but outside, inside I use whisky glass, what I have, but those cheep whiskys has corck, its good for small doses, thats how we did 0.2 l bottle at school days

depends upon distribution. i likely won't be able to get Trooper here, not because it's banned, but because it's harder to acquire. Some places in Star City, AR will have just the regular beers, won't get some of the foreign beers, but will likely have access to craft brewers in that part of the country. i have access to a lot of breweries that Dane won't have ont he East Coast (yet, though many are setting up second breweries on the East Coast) and he has access to shit i don't.

but it's all about distribution. that's the only impediment.

and even then there are things like BottleTrek (currently closed for redesign, but i've ordered from them before) where if you are willing you can pay to have stuff not at local stores shipped to you.

but this is all OT and should continue in hte Beer thread if it needs continuing.

I net is best option to order beer IMO

In Lv when I wa sloving there I did not suffer in craft beer, in bottles almost all was avalible from local, but draft. in my area only shit draft beer was and is possible to buy
in Riga old town was OK whit draft
But in my area foregner beer was hard to gte, only Riga and in last 6 years some pubs try sold new type of beers and new beer shops is open , its getting better

BTW ordinary US beer , is there any dark or stout tipe what is common

and I would like to see old Trooper ale tread more where we can post mussican beers like Deep Purple new ale etc not only IM

Currently the best thing I've ever drunk. Really syrupy, sweet and oaty. Hides its 11% ABV almost too well. Only found it in a particular pub in Brighton. £5 for half a pint but totally worthy it.




Found this in the shop just round the corner from me. Not as good as the drink above or anywhere near as good as reviews make out but still a decent drink I'm happy to pay money for.




A stout I was happy to have found in another offie very close to me. Really nice actually. Dark Star are situated in West Sussex, but began in fact in the Evening Star pub, which is where the first drink I mentioned is served (first had this there too). Really nice stout.




Just finished a glass of this and am a bit ambivalent. Had been meaning to try it for a while but given how praised it is I don't think it really lived up. Had a nice fruity finish but it also lingered in a slightly unpleasant way. I've heard the Rochfort 8 is better so will give that a go.




Really nice, banana-ry trappist beer. Definitely getting this again.




Few sips into this now. Fucking hell this is tasty. Already the best chocolate stout I've had.


Had a few others that weren't that great or interesting. Mostly stouts.

I noticed he had a bottle of Rochfort 6 haven't tried any of the others he mentioned though. I'm just exploring the city I live in and all its off licenses. Found one today that's going to keep me going for quite a while now as it specialises in beers. Think I'm going to spend a lot there. Going to make my way through all the stouts to start with.

i only ordered beer that i know has zero distribution to Arizona. otherwise i treat a visit to bevmo/TW/plaza like a trip to the CD shop. spend 20 minutes scouring the racks to see what's in, what's new, and what limited releases they have.

"ordinary" US stout or dark? Guinness is about as common as it gets for a stout in America... so we don't have anything that can compete with the reach of the Irish brewer.

However pretty much any craft brewer will have a wide variety of beers, including various dark beers. I used to drink a lot of 'em - Sammy Smiths in particular when I was stationed in Guam 20 years ago. Nowadays they just aren't my thing. I prefer American style Pale Ales and IPA's.

I can also say that one of my absolute favorite beers in the world is a dark beer... Deschutes "The Abyss". It's a limited run annual release. I saw it last year, picked up a bottle... and a week later when I was ready to spend $15 on another bottle they were long, long gone.



That's an "elbow a muthatrucka in the head if you must" beer.

Bitter - The Abyss looks good,
Guinness is good, most common beer , thanks to huge irish community and I like guinness, murfies, I want to try Beamish
I like Guinness and Killkaney stout and draught version , also in pubs from kegs.

What I mean whit dark , is ''cheep'' like Bud, Millers and all those maintreem beers

In Swe and also Lv dark beer is not popular, but whole life I prefere dark if we talk about lager.
in Lv I mostly drunk dark, pitty only Bauskas Dark is good, rest of my fav dark is Livi, Tervetes, Latgales is shit nowadays and Uzavas dark is hatrd to get and new one Valmiermuizas is overpriced in country sides.
I never bought there mainstreem beer Aldaris, and other ones, only Aldara porter what was my fav porter

of corse I drink light to, but in germanmy each factory made dunkel(dark) like Franzikaner, Paulaner, Krumbacher, Spaten Optimator(I will order it one day and try)
Falkon Swedish beer also is avalible dark, but I prefere swedish porter.

It will be (pluss what I have now) all my summer drinks, maybe if they bring some new beers, I saveing money to Oktoberfest beer , Paulaner, Spaten, Lowenbrau , and others
