Simply put Heavy Bass and Groove Death Metal from England. Those Once Loyal there last album was amazing. There earlier work is also very impressive. They've had a few to say the least line up changes, but they have stayed fairly consitent in their work. To bad they haven't been in the U.S forever. Really good band that I recommend to any Death Metal fan.

When I saw that in his post, I wondered how long it would take for someone to point that out.

Ok i generally dont like death metal (prefer more black ) but this band is awesome...If there can be musically expressed the feeling of tank coming out from trenches strait on you than it would BT's stuff...

No you shouldn't, you should BUY some of their stuff, in order to support the band and their efforts...if you think they deserve the few bucks

Haven't heard a bad album from them! Love the sound of the bass, awesome low end rumble. I really like the first album "In Battle There Is Now Law", some great deathgrind and some really heavy riffs in there.

My favorite Bolt Thrower album is the first one I heard, "Warmaster". I don't know if it is their best, I am just biased towards the first thing of theirs I heard. I know they are consistent as fuck, though. You always know what you are going to get w/ a Bolt Thrower album.

I just finished doing my Ken Burns impersonation by creating a 7 part, 7.5 hour mix called "Survey of the First Generation of Death Metal". I cover death metal music from 1981-1993, including Bolt Thrower. It is free to listen on Mixcloud. This website was most helpful in making sure my facts were correct about the bands. If you want to listen I would be most pleased if you would. Part 1 starts here: http://i.mixcloud.com/Cmo5d

Although digital purchases benefit bands more than paying for a physical copy. I'm not one to buy for me, I buy to support the musician(s)... I still purchase CDs (once I make some real money I'll work on vinyl records) I really want, like the handful of BT CDs I have, but I worry more about helping the band members.

not that is a bad thing to do but i think that vinyl is overrated...i mean it's time has passed and it was replaced by better mediums a years ago...Dont get me wrong but that is some
kind of fetishism to collect vinyl records by my opinion.

It is a matter of collecting but it's time is far from over. Even mainstream pop artists like Katy Perry have vinyl releases that sell in the thousands.

nonetheless i call it fetishism whether its in metal of else..
its natural that one medium become obsolete and be replaced by better one...In this case vinyl was replaced by CD and CD with digital download.
People who use the obsolete technology today are fetishist by my opinion.

You have a perverse opinion, that's for sure.

And digital downloads haven't undone CDs or records...so I don't know why you're talking about them like they're a thing of the past.

The digital age is too fast for human race.CDs and records are thing of past. They belong to a past, buried and forgotten they shall become.

Most popular bands already have endorsement deals and shitloads of projects to earn money.
Underground bands MUST have a day job in order to survive.

So for me, buying a record is more of a personal satisfaction than a supportive one.

While their brand of death metal is certainly slower and chunkier, I don't think it's the same kind of death/doom typical of Autopsy or Asphyx. I know those are two bands that are probably compared to BT often but I think that's just in terms of them all being old school, like Grave or Incantation.
