Avenged Sevenfold - Stagehand Dies After Band's Show In Germany

Avenged Sevenfold's show in Stuttgart ended in tragedy. A stagehand working at the band's concert in Stuttgart, Germany on Monday night (February 20th) was killed when a colleague fell on him as they were dismantling the stage. While the 26-year-old survived the 2:00 a.m. incident with serious injuries, the 19-year-old from Esslingen, identified by the German media only as Marvin P., died at the scene.

Ulver - Reveal New Album Details

Norwegian electronic/avant-garde black metal pioneers Ulver have just revealed the details for their upcoming thirteenth studio album entitled The Assassination Of Julius Caesar. The new album follows up their 2016 effort ATGCLVLSSCAP and will be released by the London based label House of Mythology on 7th April 2017. The artwork and tracklist have been revealed so far. Avatarium - New Studio Album Title, Release Date Announced

After revealing last month that they were working on their third studio album, Avatarium have lifted the veil a bit more. The doom darlings are back and once again, singer Jennie-Ann Smith and her gentlemen cast a spell over you with a magical sound experience, Hurricanes And Halos, which promises to take the world by storm on May 26th and contains eight new tracks.

Skyharbor - Announce New Album, To Tour With Deftones

Prog/math metal outfit Skyharbor have announced that they will be supporting Deftones on their upcoming European tour. In other important news, their new album, Sunshine Dust, will be released this Spring. The album will feature their most recent single, "Chemical Hands". The follow-up to Guiding Lights is coming but the exact release date hasn't been revealed yet.

Gruesome - Announce New EP, Share New Song

More music from Gruesome! The modern purveyors of old-school death metal have announced a new EP entitled Fragments Of Psyche. The EP further continues the band's homage to the legendary band Death and offers a glimpse into the next era of Gruesome. Fragments Of Psyche is due out March 31st via Relapse Records and features a two-song slab of Death Human-era worship including a brand new studio track with special guest drums from Sean Reinert (Death, Cynic) along with a "Humanized" reworking of Death's classic track "Choke On It" off of their second album Leprosy.

Farsot - Releasing New Album In April

FAIL·LURE, a blend between "failure" and "allure", is the title of the new album by German black metallers Farsot. Based on Peter Greenaway's "Drowning by Numbers" as well as several Art Nouveau works (e.g. Khnopff's "Ishtar", Klimt's "Mermaids" and "Water Serpents", Kotarbinskis "Kiss of Medusa" or Schwabes "La Vague"), the group has conceived their third album. The cover, showing a sculpture by French artist Denis Lavoyer, can be seen here.

Yob - Frontman Recovering From Emergency Surgery, Crowdfunding Campaign Launched

Yob's frontman Mike Scheidt is lucky to be alive following a terrifying medical emergency for diverticulitis. He recently underwent emergency intestinal surgery. A GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign has been set up and all donations go towards his medical bills for past and upcoming surgeries, as well as living expenses while he heals. Furthermore, you can attend the benefit show for Mike in Portland on March 16th. Over 27,000 dollars have already been raised so far.

Marduk - Show In Oakland Cancelled Over Police Concerns

Swedish black metallers Marduk's show in Oakland, California was canceled "in the name of public safety" last night over concerns from Oakland police that the group would draw anti-fascist protesters. Marduk was supposed to play at the Oakland Metro Opera House. Police say the band has been criticized for glorifying Nazi imagery and anti-Semitism.
