Drifting Breed is born after the split of No Way Out in 2001. Is not really easy to put a label on the style of this band that comes from Paris but let say that they play something that we can call Neo Thrash/Death Metal. And they play it well, there are only four songs plus an intro on this EP but it's well done and really promising for the future of the band.

The album is a bit short, 21 minutes of music that's not really easy to have a good final opinion on the music of a band but however it's really easy to see through those five songs that we're in front of a promising young band (if you like this kind of music evidently). The songs are really powerful and mix the anger of Hardcore with the riffs of Thrash Metal with in addition voices a la Metalcore. It's an interesting mix if you're a bit open minded evidently and above all I'm sure that this kind of music fits perfectly with the live performances (I understand why now Drifting Breed played and play a lot of live shows.).

For an EP, it really looks and sounds professional. Really well recorded and produced, with some good artworks and with a bunch of nice musicians, "Hope Hereafter" is a good release, no doubt. So oki, all is not perfect (it's not something super original for example) but it's catchy and it's hard to believe that Drifting Breed won't be able to find a good label in France. Actually if you're into this kind of Music believe me that you should have a look on this Demo, I'm ready to bet something that you'll enjoy "Hope Hereafter".

"Hope Hereafter" is not super original but it's not something trendy too, and only deaf people cannot see that we're in front of a band that can do something in the French Metal scene at least. Wait and see their first album but really I believe in this band. The best will probably come soon and I will keep an eye on them.
