1998 was like AMAZING, by far the best year since I started this series, one of the best years in Symphonic and power metal, strong releases in black metal, and one of the most Iconic matel albums of all time.

Welcome to what I consider the "1001 Metal Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" or in other words, a list of records of various genres in the arrays of Metal and Hard Rock that I deem essential or at least very recommended to listeners of hard and heavy music. This may be a very overwhelming list but I essentially try to collect all albums in the History of Metal that strike me as worthwhile. May this be a guideline for people that seek for an entrance to a particular genre or certain bands. In no means I am saying, that this list is indisputable by any means. I consider these my personal picks for albums that should be listened to by die-hard metal fans at least once. Hopefully you can discover some new music or relate with my picks. Bruce Dickinsons solo career is a varied ride. He tried some different rock styles and did try to go in a different direction than his Maiden years, still he's best work is the albums that most resemble his years in Iron Maiden so it went full circle. Even if I'm not so fond of some of his albums I still think it's an intresting career and there's plenty of good songs to find and lyrics wise he's most of the time on point. Sadly with all his different projects going on these days we will never see another solo album, but you never know. So here's my ranking of his solo records.
