If you have good taste in music, it is difficult to make bad music yourself. And in the promo pictures for their latest album, The World That Was, Temple Of Void members are sporting t-shirts with logos of Gorguts, Morbid Angel, Killing Joke, Amorphis, and Fell Ruin. Not bad, lads. Not bad at all.

Actually pretty underwhelming considering this is from the same people that released Lords of Death. I get that they went for a bit more atmosphere, but they failed pretty hard at trying to create one here, almost nothing works, sad stuff

A masterpiece among albums, it has some volume, some power, some riffs, it does not sound like mid-90's but this is a brilliant death/doom album nonetheless.

That's my wish for this week, but I always comment on what I listen to anyway.

This is Temple of Void's best album and they only have good albums, they are a great band. This one is very atmospheric and easier on the ear, overall very nice death doom.

I never listened to this band before, but if this is my gateway to TOV - it's terrific.

Too slow paced and too much dragging. Not the best doom album for sure.

Too slow paced...

I mean... you know what genre of music they play, right?

I understand what you mean.... but still i feel their songs are slower than the usual standards. It has happened to me earlier also. In the same genre, some band seems appealing.

There's death doom and boredoom, they are playing the latter here. Abysmal songwriting, there's no depth in these songs apart from "Leave the light behind" to justify all the dragging around and slow paced music
