On my first listen this sounds pretty amazing. Completely traditional sympho black that pleases.

Amazing album! Perfect mixture between Symphonic Black and Industrial, creating an atmospheric near phsycedelic experience! For me album of the year so far!

This is really solid album! I was afraid that after long time they came up with something medicore but surprisingly - it's very good! And that mix of symphonic and electronics is great!

Btw. just realised that there's new vocalist and he's from Finntroll.

Have never listened to symphonic black much, but have to say I was blown away by this.

Sheer northern blizzard. The way symphonic is fused with the overall sound is brilliant.

Somehow I just didn't get the industrial vibes at all. The album sounds tedious after a few listens, plainly because how heavy it is, albeit having some killer black metal tunes.

This takes me back to when I first started exploring the various types of more accessible black metal, like Old Man's Child, Agathodaimon, and Graveworm. The mixing somewhat muffles the backing symphonic elements, which in my opinion is a benefit to the overall sound, but the riffs are a little too samey throughout for any strong replay value. Despite my aversion to some of the stylistic choices made, this is still surprisingly much better than anything I was expecting from them. This doesn't just come across like a release for the sake of it; there's an underlying sense of invigoration from the beginning.

I get more of a symphonic melo-death vibe from this, not symphonic black.

Depending on the moment, they seem to switch between their black and death metal influences on the fly. Personally I think the overall sound lends itself slightly more to the black metal side of things, but the death metal undertones are worth noting.

It's more like symphonic metal core with very few standout portions here and there. Traces of black metal can be found. It's as if they are trying to find out their style between deathcore, death metal, black metal or melodic dm but surely they induced symphony into it.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

Somehow I don't feel the symphonic aspects are that strong in this one, I would rather label it melodic black I think.
Great album anyway, my favourite black release for 2020.

It's funny how the expectations are based on what you felt back then rather than on the sound itself.
Sounds just like And Oceans except that I didn't like it very much. Tbh this genre has been done several times for me to be interested now

I wouldn't mind another Havoc Unit album tho

I never listened to the band's earlier works so the only context I have for this album is the one that came after it, but I prefer this one. I find it quite easy to listen through the whole thing again and again because it sustains a great energetic and ferocious tone most of the way through. Although that does mean it's a little lacking in the softer/weirder side of things. There are lots of memorable riffs and melodic moments in the writing and lots of great performances, I especially like the vocals.
