In a recent interview, Chuck Billy asked himself: "Why do we even make records anymore when all people seem to want are singles? Thanks to the internet, many people will only download one or two of their favorite tracks". I say, let's change the question a little bit: "Why do bands release LPs when they only have enough good songs for an EP?" With that in mind, let's see how Titans Of Creation fares.
Testament just doing their thing. This is top musicians jamming, they experiment a little, and an absolute thrashfest ensues.
A long time ago, Digiorgio and Hoglan gave us Individual Thought Patterns, now they perfectly complement Testament's style.
Excellent album!
Def a push to highlight Billy and he does a nice job. I like that they are experimenting, less riff recycling....but there is very little excitement. Kinda like Kreator, mellowing and playing more conventional stuff. In both cases they need more than one songwriter. Lord knows what I could come up with after however many riifs Peterson has created. So credit to these guys for nice performances, but the rhythm guitar riffs are just too boring.
Even this band has not put excellent albums out after ''Souls Of Black'' and ''The Ritual' but they thrash come back ''First Strike Still Deadly'' to me because ''Low'' and few following was like experimental, they tries do something a bit away from the genre. I like ''Brotherhood Of The Snake'' .
Here band somehow find speed again and put it heaver, good experienced song writes, and musicians manege put good piece out. I wont be surprised this will win best TM award.
2 songs stands out:
Children Of The Next Level and City of Angels

Life is to short for LOVE, there is many great things to do online !!!
Stormtroopers of Death - ''Speak English or Die''
I better die, because I never will learn speek english, so I choose dieing
I like Testament and I love their early albums, I also really enjoyed DROE, but this one is just boring from the beginning to the end. I hear the same thing over and over again with almost no variation, no dynamics, no highlights. Maybe the production is a problem, I don't know. BOTS was already quite meh but unfortunately this one is worst.
I love this album, it beats Brotherhood of the Snake and The Formation of Damnation for me. It's not as good as Dark Roots though. Favourite tracks are the 2 they released, Dream Deciever, The Healers and Curse of Osiris. I think the only 2 duds on here are False Prophets and Catacombs but False Prophet does have a cool solo. I would have liked to seen a classic Testament ballad instead of these 2 tracks.
Slightly weaker than their previous 2 or 3 records, but still pretty damn good. If the whole album was as kickass as the first half, this could've been some of their best stuff.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!
Still loving this album, don't get the hate at all.
Though what does bother me is in Ishtar's Gate Chuck keeps calling Ishtar the Queen of the Underworld, Ishtar is the Queen of Heaven not the Underworld - that's her sister Ereshkigal. She did attempt to take over the Underworld because she's a bit of a brat but it kinda blew up in her face. (Pedantic mythology nerd)
