Engulf - The Dying Planet Weeps

I quite like the menacing meaty tone it has and there's some quality moments here and there, like the closing minute on "Earthbore" with it's impressive solo, and there's some decent riffs which are unfortunately then spoiled by alot of generic chugging, and I find the overall songwriting lacks consistency. I'm not too sure about the Tardy-like vocals either. It's not a bad effort and there's certainly potential for this band but they still have a way to go to reach that potential.
