Britains Sabbat are one of the more underrated thrash metal acts of the 80's, After hearing this album numerous times it really boggles my mind as to why that is, Dreamweaver (Reflections of our yesterdays) has all the ingredients necessary to make a classic thrash metal album; blistering riffs, amazing lyrics, great songwriting and a solid production combine together to create (in my opinion) one of the best thrash metal albums ever created. Totally unique take on thrash. Excellent vocals and the album has that sort of doomy vibe that only Reverend Bizarre can conjure. In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend feels like this album played at a slower pace. These are the kind of albums that naysayers and charlatans who propagate false lists of mediocre albums as masterpieces should be forced to listen to. A top 10 essential thrash album.

Both albums are quite on par, but Walkyier & Co. didn't have to comply with the limitations of a concept album, back then. Thus, I think their first attempt was even slightly better. Please bow to the mightiness of History as well, will ya?

Posts: 159 Written by Starvynth on 08.01.2019 at 17:23 I was yet to listen to a History Of A Time To Come but from initial listens it sounds even faster, meaner and more intense than Dreamweaver. I am a sucker for fast paced, intense and in your face thrash and for now i give History Of A Time To Come the edge but i will have to listen to them back to back to decide which is superior, but without a doubt both merit at least a 9/10.

Does anyone else have this on vinyl? My OG copy sounds bloody awful. I'm wondering whether more recent pressings sound any better. HOATTC sounds a heck of a lot better. I always preferred that LP.
