Demon King - Death Knell

Saying that I am excited for this album is the understatement of the century. This band hasn't missed with anything they released so far yet. Both of their EP's were masterpieces to my ears. The first song of this album they released: 10/10 with an orgasmic solo. This will 100% be my album of the year. I can't wait!

I'm not necessarily blown away by the actual songwriting here personally as it slightly lacks memorability for me, but I certainly have a high level of appreciation for the musicianship skills that have been put into it. It's one of the best tech-death releases I've listened to this year performance-wise. From a technical point of view it's excellent, some of the solo's are fantastic, arguably some of the finest in death metal this year, and the production is immaculate, refined, and with total precision too. You'd expect this from members of Inferi though as they're one of the best in modern tech death out there.

A perfect masterpiece of an album and easily AOTY by far. Goosebumps inducing solos left and right, with peak musicianship and songwriting throughout the entire album and the length is perfect too. My already high expectations were more than met and I got exactly what I wanted from this album. The only thing left now is to hope this won’t be their last!

Great example of modern techdeath. A great debut effort.
