Spire Of Lazarus - Those Who Live In Death

If I had a nickel for every album filled with Fromsoftware references, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice.

Not usually my go-to genre but it's some pretty solid technical deathcore, they're perhaps one of the best, or at least one of the most interesting band's of it's kind. Definitely see this as a step up from their previous album, it's massively produced and overwhelmingly technical, but has super tight compositions and a ridiculous amount of musicianship skills brought to the table here. It might be worth me just buying the CD so I can stare at that cover-art though, it's stunning.

Usually my go-to genre, so naturally your comment piqued my interest, but I just can’t get through this album in one sitting. I can deal with the near-continuous chaos and everywhere-at-once structures, but the hyper-sweepy shredding and prog noodling is a bit too much and turns my brain into pure mush.
