A very good speed/thrash album that suffers from an opener so great it makes the rest feel weak to average in comparison. Take This Torch manages to capture everything that is good about Razor: the insane vocals by Sheepdog McLaren, fun and catchy guitar riffs, energetic playing, hardcore attitude, etc. If aliens landed and wanted to know what speed metal is all about, I'd play them this one song here.

...and I --after just having spun this for the first time ever-- now definitely want to see Daddy Rambo play this album to aliens just landing on earth.

I can already see it in my eyes, like imagine Close Encounters of the Third Kind but instead of communicating with the aliens via 70's synth it's intense guitar riffs and screaming.

My personal favorite, pure 80´s thrash assault with a raw and aggressive production.

Pretty good yet somewhat limited and repetitive sounding album, I read it called as the debut of AC/DC of thrash metal which I can quite agree on when I'm listening to it now

Take This Torch is pretty obviously the go-to song from these. I think the debut EP was a bit more balanced due to the songs being more equally good than on this LP.

Not quite as good as Evil Invaders but I love the early Razor albums for their raw as fuckness.
