After a series of fairly weak albums since the immortal "Ace Of Spades" (with the exception of Orgasmatron), Motörhead comes back with a mostly solid album and the beginning of a string of solid albums.

The album opens up with some thundering drum rolls and breaks into the track 'One To Sing The Blues' and the power doesn't stop until closer to the end of the album. Though the production values show very little improvement since "Another Perfect Day", the songwriting shows improvement that we hadn't seen since Motörhead's so called 'peak'. Lemmy's love for rockabilly comes through a lot stronger in this album, showing that sound in songs like 'I'm So Bad (Baby I Don't Care)', and 'Going To Brazil'. But the musical variety does not stop there, it continues on with a very creepy doom-type song called 'Nightmare-The Dreamtime', which truly does sound like the soundtrack to a freaky nightmare. The dark side of Motörhead does not stop there, it continues on to a very grim and powerful ballad entitled 'Love Me Forever'. But just as that powerful ballad ends it picks up your spirits with a laid back fun track called 'Angel City', and of course, a tribute to one of Lemmy's friends/favourite bands 'R.A.M.O.N.E.S.' in which they do a great impression of the previously mentioned band.

Yeah, this definately has some of Motorhead's best songs. Even though I don't care for him doing it, I can see why Lemmy likes to stick to songs from this album during his shows.
EDIT: And goddamn that title track is depressing.

Love Me Forever is a criminally underrated song here. Whenever pops up on my playlist, it just takes me away with brilliant heavy metal.

I forgot just how great this album truly is, there are a ton of top quality tracks like "No Voices In The Sky", "Love Me Forever", "Angel City", "Shut You Down", and "1916". It's almost as good as Ace Of Spades, I would definitely place this album in their top 3.

I've listened to this album so many times in the past that still I remember it note for note, the same goes for Ace Of Spades.

Love Me Forever hits hard, probably some of the greatest guitar solos in their discography

One of their very best albums. Sits just behind Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades and Orgasmatron for me. Top tier rock 'n' roll.

Well let´s start with the last song the title track: There are only a few Metal songs that bring tears to my eyes and I think many not knowing Motörhead so well would never suggest they even could but yes this song does and every time no matter how often I listened to it. For me this is the best Anti-War song ever written!

The rest of the album is a banger too with a lot of highligh material: I'm So Bad (Baby I Don't Care), No Voices In The Sky, Going To Brazil, Nightmare / The Dreamtime, Love Me Forever and Angel City. This LP is so good!
