These guys have been releasing albums constantly, but anyways, I'll be looking forward for this, I've read that Fursy Teyssier(Alcest, Les Discrets, Amesoeurs, Lantlôs) will be doing the artwork for this, so, that should be awesome.

Twilight Aureole is a questionable title. Isn't aureole the name of the circular part of your nipple?

Don't know about that.
I only know it as the following:
-noun
1. a radiance surrounding the head or the whole figure in the representation of a sacred personage.
2. any encircling ring of light or color; halo.
3. Astronomy . corona ( def. 3 ) .

Hmmm well it took me quite a few attempts in typing in different word variations into google, but it seems that I confused it with "areola". Anyways, that nipple song is the only one I haven't heard yet

Grat album. Beats Swan Road, Estrangement, Microscosmos easily. But still not as good as Forgotten Legends, Blood IN Our Wells and their best Autumn Aurora

good to hear. love their early stuff, but found their last couple sort of a shell of their prior works. still "good", but missing whatever indescribable spark that made the albums you noted amazing.
(and i still like Songs of Grief and Solitude, even if it's a total change of pace.)

what? You prefer Microcosmos, Estrangement, Anti Urban, Songs Of blabalblabla and Swan Road over this? Baffling.

It's funny, because even season of mist gives September 20th as release date.

Displeased has it, it's the vinyl version that will be released September 20.
Or maybe Displeased is cheating a bit... that they are already shipping out what the label has send them.

Interesting choice of words seeing as there's barely a single shred of black metal in the new one. In fact I'd say none whatsoever. Not even the vocals, which sound like they'd be better off on a Ministry album or something industrial and German.
This album is pretty boring. How it fairs as a post-rock/punk/shoegaze/metal mix is one thing, it's well played, well produced and fairly emotive, but as far as I'm concerned it's one of the most forgettable and conformist releases of the year. No doubt they'll find a whole new audience with this one though, and good for them. I look forward to reading about them in The NME. Oh wait, I don't read The NME.

I've just listened to it once again and I must say that Swan Road and Microcosmos are better, Songs... are more enjoyable too (but surely not for everyone). Maybe Estrangement is weaker than this. And I never heard Anti Urban...

I don't turn my back on my favourite bands when they deviate from their style. I listen and THEN judge, not the other way round. If the style changes, but it's well executed, I will definitely have a positive opinion about the album.
If this album is what you say it is, it will bring Drudkh much wider recognition. Which, in turn, will lead to many people bashing them on account of that fact. You among them no doubt.
I hate elitism.

I kind of have to agree with Joe, really. It's actually a bit psychedelic at times, but overall quite forgettable.
I don't see how it counts as elitism.

I'll need to listen to this a couple more times before I reach a conclusion, it reminds me of enslaved or pelican in places, definitely a new direction, not to sure how I feel about it but I enjoyed the Lp

3rd listen now and I'm convinced this is a great album. Maybe not a great black metal album, but just great music. No complaints here.

This morning, probably after the millionth listen, I came to the conclusion that this is my favourite Drudkh album. Yeah, even on par with "Autumn Aurora".
