"My home was cleared, history sold
Empty was my place
'Cept a picture on the wall
Of lovers in embrace."

The wind, the rain, the urban grey landscape and the thunderbolt are ingredients of a fabulous deep autumnal afternoon. They could also be components of a grandiose My Dying Bride album and I know you're not unaware of this. Especially when you start shivering to the sound of a weary church bell that so graciously managed to open the gates to a world you know you've been to before, but can always paint something different for you with the bleakest of colors.

Bad English
Tage Westerlund
A bit failure, going back to grows, DM parts in songs or D/D M parts in the songs, only what left was violin and great vocals
bad song writing ... bands should write 3 album and split up

Excellent album. I can enjoy every song here, cant find the "failure". Obviously far away from their masterpiece mid-90s performances. Still beautiful Death Doom, at perfect melancholic pace. Title track belongs to their all-time best song writing. Hail Odysseus also standing out here.

Not one of their most finest releases but still quite a solid effort overall, and definitely an improvement on the release before this. It's not quite back to their usual form I must admit, but the songwriting is still pretty good for the most part, lot's of deep emotion has gone into this, which is just what this band does best, the slow doomy riffs unfortunately don't do much for the structure on this occasion for me.

"Hail Odysseus" and "Within The Presence Of Absence" are probably the the stand out tracks for me if I had to pick, other than that nothing else stands out for me.
