I was a little surprised by how good this one seems. Listened through it once so far and I'm impressed....probably the best new album/band I've found in this genre for a while. A bit like a combination of Edenbridge and Nightwish, perhaps. The orchestrations are very nicely done, and I like her voice. Too many sappy lyrics about love and relationships for my taste, but everything else is pretty good.

Power Metal can be non-melodic? I think it's kind of silly to break down genres that much. Either it's power or symphonic is pretty much enough.

Power Metal can be non-melodic?

My guess is the melodic descriptor is used to separate the style from the American origin, which is closer to heavy/speed metal.

Then it should be applied to most EU power metal bands which have power metal only. Even between EU pm bands, there are differences. I would just call it power, heavy, thrash, prog. To me even the genre speed is funny.
