It seems Epsilon Aurigae and Zeta Reticuli were both very closely related musically and thematically (very similar artwork, both 3 tracks each, every track at 15 minutes exactly). Perhaps this is sort of a new chapter that sees a bit of a different approach? Not that those albums were bad in the slightest, just curious.

Fathom The Deep is the one that really stood out to me on first listen, love the vibe of it.

I just learned that Sebastien Pierre (from Fractal Gates and Enshine) handles the vocals on this one. I love this guy, and also like Monolithe. This can only be good.

Only part way through this but it's pretty killer, surprised at the muted reception here. Has a lot more presence than the past few albums and Pierre's vocals are a huge boon. I missed their outer-space sound more than I realised. Call me lame but the whole 7 theme is pretty cool in my book.

I actually like this and Zeta Reticuli the best out of their whole discography, contrary to most people here it seems. Just about everything they've done is high quality stuff, but I feel like they keep getting better and better. I wonder what their live shows are like...

Tbh I'd have to go back and refamiliarise myself with the other albums, but this one definitely sounds like a band at the peak of their career. Super confident song and sound wise. Not sure it's an Interlude Second beater but that one feels kinda separate from the others anyway.

Oh yeah, I should revisit that one some time. As far as I can remember it was indeed pretty different. Sort of... artificial sounding, for lack of a better term.

This album absolutely rips. Kind of fast to be a doom album but almost all the songs are brilliant with the most presence felt by fathoming the deep.
