Suprisingly heavy... Stryper keep making what are essentially Power Metal records at this point. Good stuff all round

I listened to this album yesterday, gotta say it is quite good. Didn't expect the power metal undertones  ... Surprisingly enough the song Beautiful somehow reminded me of Anathema (  )I really tried to go into it with an open mind ( I mean, my usual stuff is more Gothic nihilistic) but still the Christian lyrics are cringe worthy as fuck sometimes (the last song, aaaaah...no). So all in all, I'd say it deserves a 8.

Christian metal that sounds good. A rare feat. Not sure if there were other christian bands before these guys, but if they are the first, no wonder they make good music. Liked their 80s glam stuff, like their new, heavier, power metallian stuff too. One of the few glam bands that could reinvent itself.
