Defeats the purpose through when you buy the land and trees and shit

I could live off the land when I have paid off my mortgage, I have a decent garden coming along about 20 berry plants 40 fruit trees and chickens atm.

Netche not in all places, usually if it's pike or bass, but 95% you need it, but it's easy to get and not expensive

You could just hover around restaurants in malls gathering people's leftovers, it's technically living off the land.

We can fish rivers and lakes, but need a rod license, fishing licence and often a club membership depending on where you want to fish. I think you can fish out at sea without a licence, not too sure about that though.

My grandparents more or less lived off the land since they retired until they got to about 90 years old when they couldn't do it anymore. Hunting, farming and fishing... Drove into town to get milk once a week...

I could easily live off fish and shellfish where I am, I'd have to build a Hutt on the beach though, always driftwood for fires. Be pretty hard in winter though
