The unheralded Wyverns of the Darkside emerged as phoenix from the ashes of the two oldest Latvian black metal bands, Dark Reign and Alfheim, namely. Ere mid-summer '97 it was when Burial Jester (the musical Namer of the line-up), his brother Kaladun (also in the ranks of Skyforger), and the noble Mourn Majesty of Dark Reign allied with Hater and Morgueldar of the withering Alfheim, and were joined by the charming elven princess Rasa, known from her background chanting experience with Neglected Fields and several other Latvian metal outfits. And thus it came to pass that a brighter constellation was arrayed in the raven skies of all earths - the Winged Constellation - HERESIARH. Under the timeless stare of the eyes of the dead the six heirs of witchcraft laboured for several moons to lay foundations to their euphony. As the approach of lacing melodic and fast black metal music with lead female soprano vocals seemed to be a highly unique idea and the Order felt their creation to stand out of the clichesque genre of evil black metal, they gave it an original name - dragon metal, be it 'epic', 'majestic', 'melodic' or 'romantic'. HERESIARH conjure epic anthems to the glorious Elder days ere the fall of High Sorcery and the passing of the elven-folk, when dragons still crested the sky, the Moon was young, the Earth was vast, sword was the only judge and humanity was in general far closer to the Truth than nowadays. Our music stands for crawling, flying, warring and simply being magic? After several live appearances the band went for a 16-track death metal studio in Riga, and during the last fortnight of the same year recorded its debut demo entitled "Dragons of War", which was released on tape by Morgueldar's k7-label Elven Witchcraft in January '98. Despite the watery production (therefore it stands for the elemental chapter Water) the first six chapters from the Chronicles of Elvenwine received an overwhelming response from the underground press, and have this far spread over 700 copies earthwide...

After almost a year of unsigned underground existence HERESIARH finally achieved a record deal with the German Invasion Records (R.I.P.). Their monstrous debut full-length (60 minutes!) scroll (chapter Earth), entitled "Mythical Beasts and Mediaeval Warfare", was cypherised during the three vernal moons of 999 but then the band was suddenly confronted by the ill-fortunate death of the label, and a pressing need to find a new and a better company to promote their dragon metal. The longer the release of "Mythical Beasts..." was delayed, the more offers were received and we have eventually made up our minds in favour of the British Attack Music/Hardware Records. Thus our debut-cd is scheduled for a March release, which is just when the second moon of the oriental Year of the Dragon begins - the year that will bring glory to our flaming dragon cult and blazing wyvern magic, as the recording of our second valkyrienstorm "Winged Constellation" (chapter Air), dedicated to airborne creatures exclusively, is planned for the upcoming Summer... The future material of HERESIARH is a much more powerful blend of symphonic black and epic heavy metals, which, then, are the base ingredients of our Dragon Metal Alchemy. Wait and hear...
