Final Void - Biography

Biography

2012–2017
Final Void was formed in 2012 as a continuation of the hard rock band Rainy Season, shifting toward a heavier melodic rock and metal sound. Their debut album, Sounds of Absence (2017), combined older material from the Rainy Season era with new compositions led by guitarist Toni Hangasmäki.

2021
On February 19, 2021, Final Void released their second album, Visions of Fear. With Toni Hangasmäki at the creative helm, the band explored darker, more dynamic territory—blending delicate melodies, dissonant harmonies, and heavy grooves. The album traces a descent into fear and loss, ending with a glimpse of hope amid chaos.

2024–2026
The band began pre-production for their third album in 2024. At the end of that year, original vocalist Tuomas Kotajärvi departed the group. In April 2025, Iiro Lücke joined as the new vocalist. Final Void is set to begin full production of their third album in early 2026.

The band has revealed that all albums form a continuous story. The third album will begin to uncover that narrative, offering the first real glimpse into the concept—though the full story will continue to unfold across future releases, ultimately spanning six albums.
