Biography
Aornos is a monumental BM band, formed in Hungary (Miskolc) by Algras, in 2014.
The debut album called Orior was presented to publicity by the very end of 2014 and was later officially released by Black Plague Records (US) and Symbol of Domination - Satanath Records (RU). The black metal he style is complex, deep - both in lyrics and in the music's atmosphere. The record consists of ten songs and an Emperor cover.
In the same year Alea Iacta Est EP came out, by HOD presents. Besides the two new songs there are five covers (Morbid Angel, Carcharoth, Bonanza Banzai, Sear Bliss, Land Of Charon) on the EP. The HOD Presents has released it in digital format, but it is on the market as CD also, in a very limited number.
In September 2016 the second full-length, Mors Sola came to life by the hands of Symbol of Domination and the German Kristallblut Records on CD with nine new tracks. The style of the songs does not differ from the earlier ones - intellectual, chiselled black metal with depth and brutality.
One and a half year later in March 2018 came a split tape with de profundis entitled Hymnen an die Nacht released by the Hungarian label Fekete Terror Productions. The whole issue is heavily influenced by the heritage of Novalis, his lines can be caught in some of the lyrics as well. On Aornos's side there are two re-recorded tracks and a cover of Arcturus.
Later that year in April "The Great Scorn" (third full-length) had been released by the collaboration of four labels: Symbol of Domination, Ira Aeterna (IT). The True Plague (US) and Black Metal Records (US). The third album goes in line with the previous works, it is made of nine tracks of uncompromised, apocalyptic black art.
On November 17, 2018, Fekete Terror Productions released an Aornos 2014-2017 Tape Collection gift box in a very limited edition, which included Orior, Alea Iacta Est, Mors Sola and From The Deep (A Tribute To The Masters Of Dark Side) includes cassettes, five large postcards and an band logo patch.
Aornos formed as a one-man band by Algras, but since the fall of 2017 talented members are on the other instruments as well: drums - Róbert Mester, bass - P, guitar - Tibor Terebesi, keyboards - Dávid Lőrincz, and guitar, vocal - Algras, so live shows are also possible in the future.
The inspiration is given and eternal: the dark projection of Existence, endless Nature, Cosmos and the attempt to passing the ordinary, human, all too human things..
