Asmodi - Biography
Biography
Asmodi was founded in 2004 by Bilwis, Daevas and Volac. A little later, Morvan and Malphas were brought on board to complete the line-up and began to work on their first pieces. After a few appearances and a pre-setting of the piece "Des Brandes Brunst", which the band offered to download for free, Malphas left the band shortly before the start of the recordings for the demo "" Schattenwald "" for personal reasons. From this point on, Morvan took over the part of the second guitar and, as a result of the internal restructuring, played bass and guitar on the demo. While the band was busy with the production and release of their first work, they rehearsed warmly with the new band member and bassist Joetun,
In June 2006 '' "Schattenwald" '' was released and gave the band numerous good reviews.
At the beginning of 2007 the band put the songs "Chronicler of the Wind", "Dornentanz" and "Aus blut'ger Mär" online for free download, which was perceived as very scene-oriented within the fan base. Shortly after the promo recordings were released, a third guitarist and singer, Marrok, joined the band. Originally only planned for acoustic passages and clean vocals, one quickly recognized his abilities on the fingerboard and recorded him firmly. Appearances all over Germany, including at the "Barther Metal Open Air", the Wolfszeit Festival and the Av is og Ild Metal Festival followed and helped the band to become more popular within the scene.
For a long time afterwards, Asmodi remained silent until the surprise announcement of the separation from guitarist Morvan in January 2008. As a result, the long-announced CD "Sapere Aude" was recorded without him and Marrok now completely took over Morvan's part on guitar. Originally planned for summer 2008, the release of the CD was postponed again for several months, as the studio changed due to sound technical complications and the current setting was put in the hands of Mischer JAK. Among other things, he is responsible for the setting of all Endstille records and this time again he did some official work.
