Black Rain - Biography

This band's profile is 'invisible', meaning that it's much less prominent on the site - either because it's incomplete, or maybe doesn't entirely fit MS format.

Biography

Back in 2002, Swan and Max began playing covers of their idols such as W.A.S.P. and Mötley Crüe. They played at various biker clubs supported by many bass players and drummers. After hiring drummer Kenny Snake and bassist Heinrich during a show (where they fell in love with his "Sexy Nazi" disguise), the line-up was complete. The band then started to write their own songs and released a 5-track demo, Twilight, Rain And Darkness, in 2004.

Black Rain continued to write material and playing shows, eventually recording 9 songs at Rocket Queen Complex. At this time Black Rain signed a deal with Pervade/Thundering Records. The band's full-length debut, Black Rain, was released in 2006, after which the band toured in Japan to support their material.

By the end of 2007 the new Innocente Rosie EP was ready, followed by gigs in Sweden and Switzerland. The EP's eponymous song was also featured in Glamnation, a compilation album released by 272 Records, based in Hollywood. In 2008 Black Rain released License To Thrill, produced at Polar Studio. Once Black Rain signed with Listenable Records, License To Thrill was re-released featuring bonus content.

Black Rain planned to release another full-length album in March 2010, but have since suffered from setbacks pushing back the release date.
