Biography
Brooklyn, New York, native Charlie Dominici debuted on a major label at the age of 17 with a semi-acoustic piano and guitar duo called "Billy and Charles". In the early 80s he went on to form the top ten hit group Franke and the Knockouts, a band also featuring later to be Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres. In 1987 he joined progressive metal pioneers Dream Theater and sang on their debut album "When Dream And Day Unite".
After leaving Dream Theater in 1990 Charlie disappeared from the music business for a long time until 2004 when he assembled a group of musicians to form his own progressive metal act Dominici. In 2005 the debut album "O3 A Trilogy - Part I" was issued by the band themselves, followed by the second part in the trilogy via InsideOut Music and in 2007. Early June 2007 saw Dominici supporting his old band Dream Theater on a few select dates of their European tour.
