Biography
With influences deeply rooted in heavy rock and traditional metal, Lunar Path has forged their music into an amalgam metal brick with influences from rock, epic, extreme and progressive metal. The result is most obvious with their freshly recorded full-length concept album.
Conceived in 2006 in the small town of Porvoo, the band has evolved through hard work and dedication into what it is today. Their devotion to their craft is underlined in their commitment and work ethics - obvious in the fact that all releases to date have been made within the bands own resources and skills, which have all been gathered and learned from scratch.
Throughout their relatively new career, they've toured and performed in Scandinavia with notable artists such as Deathstars, Paul Di'Anno, Ava Inferi, Swallow The Sun. One of the biggest landmarks in their career is performing at the hugely popular Copenhagen Live 2010 festival in the heart of Denmark alongside massive artists like Rammstein, Slash, Volbeat, Bullet For My Valentine, and more.
After releasing a few EP:s the band finally began production on their debut album, Memento Mori. The 15 track concept has opened new musical doors as it's more experimental, personal and heavier than anything the band has ever done before. The album is also a first for the band in artist collaborations, containing guest performances from numerous established Finnish and international artists.
Lunar Path is currently on an indefinite hiatus as of May 2013.
