Born in 2009 of a cooled fire sparkle evicted from the black Giant's sword, Surtr unleash a dark atmosphere of traditional doom metal. Hitting the bleeding ground left by doom metal forefathers, the band launched early 2011 its first dark-narco-epical effort under the name World Of Doom. After a bunch of shows across France and Germany, Surtr entered the studio to record a new album called Pulvis Et Umbra.

Pulvis Et Umbra will be released in March 2013 and puts together seven original and always more doom inspired, tracks. With epical hymns praising the return to dust and slow-down odes worshipping shadow, the French power trio second album is the tombstone of the contemporary and modern world. Stationed, guarding the frontier of the realm of doom metal, Surtr is now more than never ready to set the world on fire.
