Sweden's Shining is set to hit the road for a 23-date European tour during May and June, 2019. Accompanying them on what will be called the 'Return Of The Enemy' tour, will be Slovenian black metallers Srd, with no other bands or local supports being included on the tour. Shining are preparing a longer set than usual and promise an event full of uncompromising darkness and perversion.

After finishing their new album, it's time for Shining to unleash a new track! The Swedish black metallers led by the infamous Niklas Kvarforth have just shared the first track taken from their forthcoming album, X - Varg Utan Flock which translates to "Wolf Without A Pack" (out January 5th 2018). Shining's Niklas Kvarforth is facing some controversy yet again. According to reports, the band's show in Portland was cancelled by the venue after the frontman was accused of using racist and homophobic slurs, slapping an audience member, and threatening to stab employees, as well as other alleged actions when they played at Boise, Idaho at The Shredder. Tonic Lounge, a venue in Portland, found out about Kvarforth's behavior and cancelled the show.

Shining have released a video teaser for an arthouse documentary featuring frontman Niklas Kvarforth, entitled "Cold Void". The founder of the Swedish black metal act is the focal point of the new movie. The documentary "tries to capture a personal portrait of Niklas Kvarforth, who has made headlines that have involved addiction, suicide and self-destruction, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, passion, and exceptional musicianship."
