Decapitated guitarist Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka has recently posted a blog regarding the future of the band:

"I would like to inform everyone interested in knowing about the status of the band that we are on indefinite hiatus for now. It is too early to continue or try to continue without Vitek and/or Covan at the moment.

Regarding Covan. He's recovering now and needs all the time in the world to comeback to a normal life. So I want to wait for him, so we could both decide what the future will hold for Decapitated.

I definitely want to keep on playing and touring as it's very important for me to keep on playing music. While we have this break with Decapitated, I'd like to mention that I'm open to explore options regarding joining or touring as a session player. Given the seriousness of the project I could work on dedicate as much time as possible to it.

I also want to express my respect for everyone who's supported Vitek's and Covan's families since the accident on any kind of way."

After many months of intense work, the members of Thy Disease finally announced the end of the "Anshu-Za" recording session.

Band members confirm that, the album will represent typical for Thy Disease, sound of the cybernetic metal. In the words of Psycho - vocalist of the band:
"It is by far the most complex album, we have ever recorded. I know that every musician says so after recording the new album, but I'm convinced that this time we've managed to create our opus magnum - the greatest work of our lives. There are also some changes in vocals, cause in few songs you will hear the voice of our keyboard player - Cube - who has developed his singing skills a lot, since the recording of Perfect Form in 2002."

We can confirm the previous information about the album lyrical concept and abut the participation of quests in the recording session. Right now we can proudly announce that one of the best death metal guitarists - Vogg from Decapitated - has recorded a solo in Anshur-Za opening track entitled Rotten Structure! Also Paulina of Delight has recorded vocals in a new version of Thy Disease hit song - a cover version of Madonna's Frozen. This song will be released on the limited version of Anshur-Za album. The regular edition will include another cover - Sinner In Me of Depeche Mode!

"Anshur-Za" tracklist:

01. Rotten Structure
02. Blame
03. Moral Supremacy
04. General's Speech
05. Fog Of war
06. Freedom for Anshur-Za
07. Code Red
08. Collateral Damage
09. Nightmare Scenario
10. Salah-Dhin
11. Sinner In Me (Depeche Mode cover)

It is not confirmed yet who will release the album, because right now Thy Disease is negotiating conditions with a few potential labels.

Dark Funeral's guitarist Lord Ahriman has posted the following MySpace blog today:

"So, finally it's time... On Monday Aug 18, Chaq Mol [guitars] and I will enter the studio together with producer Örjan Örnkloo (Misery Loves CO) to begin the songwriting process of a new, yet untitled full-length album.

Exactly how long it will take is hard to say, but the plan is to be done with a pre-production within the next 3-4 weeks. We already have quite some material written so I feel that we are as pre-prepared as we can be at this stage.

We will only work in the studio during the weekdays. So every weekend when we're home we'll post a studio report to keep you updated. Anyway, time to get busy. Talk to you in about a week again."

Pantheist have posted the following on their MySpace:

"As you might have noticed in the last few weeks, there have been a few changes in the tourdates with Skepticism and Ophis. We are proud to announce that the 7 dates have now been finally confirmed! This short but intense tour is going to be a unique event (not joking, considering Skepticism only tour for the second time in their long career and for us it's only our second proper tour as well). Hope to see many of you there.

In related news, we have a great time recording our third album "Journey Through Lands Unknown" with Greg at Priory Studios. The album is currently being mastered at Sonic Mastering by Rik Dowding (some of you might recognize his name from the credits of the last Portishead album; you might even have seen him, as he was their sound engineer on their recent tour). We should be able to post a full track on the myspace site by next weekend or so."

The dates are as follows:

Oct 25 Logo Hamburg, Hamburg (Ger)
Oct 26 Baroeg, Rotterdam (Ned) [Dutch Doom Day VII]
Oct 27 Kunstverein, Nurnberg (Ger)
Oct 28 Black Pes, Prague (Cz)
Oct 29 Rock club na OZZaY, Nitra (Svk)
Oct 30 Escape Vienna, Wien (Aus)
Oct 31 Amnesie Berlin, Berlin (Ger)
Nov 01 Scheld'apen Antwerp, Antwerp (Bel)

Pitch Black Records announces the arrival of the debut album by local Cypriot act Prodigal Earth. Their style is melodic classic heavy metal with a touch of power and this promises to be one of the best metal albums to have ever come out of Cyprus; both in terms of production and in terms of composition.

The album, titled "Zenith II Zero", will be released in October 2008 and it includes 12 melodic heavy/power compositions characterized by an overall fresh sound as well as Nicholas Leptos' (Diphtheria, Arryan Path) charismatic voice. The album's cover and inlay artwork have been created by Thomas Ewerhard who is well known for his work with Therion, Jorn, Tankard, Vanden Plas and HammerFall among others.

The album's opener is a powerful cry of anger against the people who let the terrible accident of Cypriot airliner Helios happen three years ago and the ongoing crime of still not having brought them to justice after all this time. "Disaster 121" is dedicated to the memory of the 121 souls who perished on that flight and their families.

As a tribute, the song will be made available for download, free of charge, on the day of the anniversary (August 14th) on the label's website.

Irish doom metallers Mourning Beloveth have posted the following statement:

"Forgive me Father it's been a while since my last confession and alot has happened in that time.

As you know by now the tour we had planned for March had to be cancelled and those who know us know the reasons why but we will not go in to them here. For a band who has never cancelled a gig, let alone a tour it was a big decision but one that had to be made.

The next few months should see us make up for that in some small way with a few festival dates followed by gigs in October in Italy and Belgium [Facade Of Funeral Fest III]. The festival dates will see us play for the first time in Lithuania [Ferrum Rust Festival] and Romania and we are really looking forward to it. July sees us play Day Of Darkness in Ireland for a record breaking fourth time and it will be the first airing of the new songs and if rehearsals are anything to go by it should be an intense experience.

The album was finally released after months of agonising wait with delays in the artwork to label delays but it is finally out and that is all that matters. Reviews for the album have been overwhelming and far beyond our expectations and hopefully this will open the door for a few more festival appearences next year.

Also coming soon is the LP version of "Dust" to be released through Sentinel Records. it is the original artwork, nothing added, nothing taken away. We also have a split 10" with Wreck Of The Hesperus planned on Sentinel by the end of the year and we are rehearsing something special for this release."
