Bethlehem - Cancel Performance At Black Metal Is Rising VII Festival
German sun-avoiders Bethlehem had to cancel their scheduled performance at Black Metal Is Rising VII in Paris this weekend due to an injury. The band's bassist Jürgen Bartsch underwent surgery and is still recovering from it, but the band promises to reschedule the date.
The band released the following statement about it: "Greetings everyone! Unfortunately we have some bad news regarding the appearance of Bethlehem at Black Metal Is Rising VII at the Glazart in Paris on the 1st of July. Our bass player Bartsch had to undergo some surgery on the 14th June and although he did everything possible to ensure that he would be fit to play, a visit to the doctor today confirmed that he wasn't completely healed and that were he to play, he would risk opening the wound which would mean an even longer recovery time. Apart from which, we would not want to disappoint our fans with a show where he was less than 100% up to his usual standard of playing. Please be assured that he will be fit again very soon and back to being able to play live. We are all very disappointed about not being able to give our French fans a dose of live Darkmetal mayhem, but be assured that we will reschedule the Paris show as soon as possible. Thank you all for your understanding."
