After putting Necromantia in a dark grave, Hellenic black metal warrior George Zacharopoulos aka Magus Wampyr Daoloth launched a new project entitled The Magus, and his new band are already working on their debut album. More in due time.

George Zacharopoulos comments: ''Legions, the time has come to reveal to all of you the beginning of a new musical journey. My desire to create dark music did not stop with the abrupt ending of Necromantia. The black flame of creation still burns within the depths of my soul. Therefore I announce you my new musical project simply entitled : The Magus My co-conspirators in this are EL ([band]Soulskinner[/band, Zaratus, Thou Art Lord etc) on guitars and Mealstrom (Necromantia, Yoth Iria, Thou Art Lord etc) on drums! We are already working on our debut album to be released some time next year entitled: BΥΣΣΟΔΟΜΩΝΤΑΣ (meaning building in the depths, common use: conspiring in darkness). Recordings will take place at PENTAGRAM studio with George Emmanuel (Lucifer's Child) behind the mixing desk recording and producing. There will also be some guests who I cannot reveal now…in time. This is the only musical project I will dedicate myself to the next 18 months. I can only promise you dark and abysmal music of exquisite quality… Under the sign of the Serptagram Like the Serpent from the Depths we rise"
