Lorna Shore struck gold in recruiting Will Ramos during a turbulent period for the band, but the first full-length that the band and vocalist released together felt like it fell short of their collecive true potential. This time around, they’ve truly hit their stride.

Oblivion is crazy music🤪 I've never heard anything like this before, people! Every aspect of this is an incredible symbiosis of brutal rage and a sense of sound... Every note is perfect. This is a brutal version of Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth but with more thought and rage. The vocals are incredible, the guitars have a unique riff, but the top is the drums. I never thought that such music existed. Unique!!!

I really like the Immortal album, absolutely love the ...And I Return to Nothingness EP and the Pain Remains album. But for some reason, I found I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me kind of meh. It's not bad, but to me, it doesn't have an epic track like the previous records did

Although there is a good balance between the symphonic elements and the brutal and blackened deathcore layers, what stands out the most is the strong similarity to the band’s previous work. The epic atmosphere that was present in the Pain Remains trilogy is clearly felt here as well. This makes it seem at times as if the band is repeating the same successful formula. Still, overall, we’re witnessing a very solid release

This is deathcore the way I like it. Excellent vocals with so much raw emotion, subtle melodic touches with powerful breakdowns that feel genuine, and symphonic elements that are used in the right way and not excessively. I actually prefer this album to their last, it's like a good therapy session where you can just let out all your anger and frustration, might be a go-to album when needs must in the future.

A symphonic deathcore masterpiece that sweeps everything. Will Ramos surpasses every vocal limit, while the production is cinematic and violently beautiful. A big thumbs up to this awesome band.

Why is it called deathcore? at least add tag 'melodic'.

Even if (like me) you don't like deathcore, give this album a listen. Their best, in my opinion.

Only complain I have is some unnecessary breakdows after some amazing buildup, example for the end of War Machine. Other than that, this is a record for the ages.

I found a similar issue with that track, same for me with the first track "Prison Of Flesh" also, where I found there was just a few too many unnecessary breakdowns for my liking. Other than that, I have to say this is one of the best deathcore releases I've ever listened to, and a great album for someone like myself who's never really appreciated this particular genre.

For the deathcore genre, this album is quite good, but it still cannot escape the cookie-cutter homogeneity. It is a solid but uninteresting album.

I haven't enjoyed this band in the past except for subtle moments from their last album which had a few glaring flaws. The exceptionally positive response here is quite interesting though. I also completely missed this releasing, so just a little late.

I have to agree with you. There's a lot going on here but none of it excites me. Also those bleeding core breakdowns kill the mood for me

Deathcore is a subgenre of metal music that combines elements of death metal and metalcore. Here are some of the most characteristic features of deathcore:

🎵 Main characteristics of deathcore:

1. Breakdowns

– Heavy, slow, rhythmic passages, typical of metalcore.

– Used to create massive aggression and a “destructive” rhythm.

2. Vocals

– Deep growls, low pig squeals (in some bands), screaming vocals.

– Often a combination of various extreme vocal techniques.

3. Guitars and sound

– Very low-pitched guitar tuning.

– Palm muting, chromatic riffs, sometimes technical elements.

– Very heavy, dense and aggressive sound.

4. Drums

– Blastbeats (from death metal) + heavy, destructive rhythms from metalcore.

5. Atmosphere
– Dark, brutal, raw.

🔥 Popular deathcore bands:
• Suicide Silence
• Whitechapel
• Carnifex
• Chelsea Grin
• Thy Art Is Murder
• Lorna Shore (newer wave — orchestral elements + extreme sound)

🧬 What distinguishes it from other styles?
• From death metal it takes: extreme vocals, blast beats and brutality.
• From metalcore it takes: breakdowns, structure and rhythmic approach.

I'm writing about the people complaining about the breakdown elements in this style, and they are basic and characteristic! It's full of laymen and idiots here

Can’t really argue with that. We do indeed have quite a few non-experts and laypeople here, and for some of these amateurs even common music genres seem to be completely uncharted territory.

The overall atmosphere is sad, heavy and beautiful! Incredible balance in every tone, vocal and production! I'm not a fan of deathcore music, but this musical gem made me search and hear this style and it's truly beautiful! Two other bands captivated me - Shadow Of Intent, Immortal Disfigurement

Deathcore is a subgenre of metal music that combines elements of death metal and metalcore. Here are some of the most characteristic features of deathcore:

Satyr73 used to be a user of Metal Storm, who joined many years ago but lately decided to repeatedly insult other users in the forums and to post comments that were copied and pasted from chat gpt, Here are some of the most characteristic behaviours that got him permanently banned:
1) Insulting other users and calling them names, especially those who had different taste in music.
2) Posting AI-generated comments and walls of text.
3) Ignoring repeated warnings by the staff to stop behaving like an @33hole and to respect the rules and regulations of the website.
