Well, if you can read the threa title, you know what this is about. I'm just sitting here watching 'Along Came Polly' and I thought about making this harmless thread. Not much to explain. Philip Seymour Hoffman - I love his versatility as an actor. He can pull off the funny rolls like when he played Sandy Lyle in 'Along Came Polly', I love the sharted scene and the clearing his throat scene and especially the basketball scene (Rain drop, old school, WHITE CHOCOLATE.) I also like him in 'The Big Lebowski' and 'Twister.' Of course, what he is known for most are his powerful performances. Of course we all know he won Best Actor for 'Capote.' He also did a wonderufl job in 'Love Liza'; '25th Hour'; 'Magnolia'; and 'Red Dragon.' A great actor. Brian Cox - In my opinion, Brian Cox is the man. Every movie he's in is great because of him, basically. I loved his roles in 'X2'; 'Troy'; 'Super Troopers'; 'Manhunter'; and I really enjoyed his rendition of Hermann Göring in the tv series 'Nuremburg.' Edward Norton - Of course, another favorite. What can be said? 'Red Dragon'; 'Fight Club'; '25th Hour'; and my personal favorite 'American History X'. Those are just three among many. Arnold, Chris Lee, Mel Gibson, Jeff Bridges, Ian McKellen, Jack Nicholson. I could go on, but you get the picture.

Jim Carrey - One of the longest lasting, and best comical actors I know. And Cox did do a good job as Goerring. Really wierd, pompus asshole, but again, accurate portrayal. Great pilot though, shot down 21 planes in WWI I do believe.

My favourite actor is Toshiro Mifune who makes outstanding performances in Kurosawa´ s movies "7 Samuri" and "Rashomon". His concentration is just frightening. From female actors I love Nicole Kidman´ s performance in "Dogville", "Hours" and "The Others". She has unfortunately made a lot of crap, also.

1# Al Pacino Brilliant actor, absolutely amazing in everything I've seen him in which admittedly is only 5 movies (all 3 godfather movies, Scarface and Scent of a Woman) but he has the capacity to be completely calm, strategic and mysterious in one performance (The Godfather) and a complete over the top coked up maniac in another (Scarface) My other choices in no particular order: Marlon Brando Jim Carrrey Jack Nicholson Christopher Walken Rowen Atkinson Harrison Ford Robert De Niro

I'd have to say I'm partial to Sean Astin at the moment. After Lord of the Rings, Click, and now watching him in 24 he proves himself to me as a good actor at whatever I see him playing.

My favourite actor is Depp I dont think i need to say much about him, he is so talented, very foccused and versitile also. I think everything he did he did well. Great artist in my opinion. I think he can make us laugh like hell being suble and also make us cry. My favourite actriss is Christina Ricci (the choice of actors has nothing to do with Sleepy Hollow). Although she is young and not that experienced she started early doing films and I think she got involved in quite a few good ones. Being "Monster" one of them and one of my favourite films too.

Johnny Depp - Excellent actor who takes every role he is given and just portray's it perfectly. Jim Carey - Hilarious Christian Bale - He was one of the best Batman's imo. He also did an excellent job in the movie Equilibrium. Anthony Hopkins - Another amazing actor. His role as Hannibal was one of the best. It almost seemed as if Hopkins wasnt really acting...if you know what I mean. There's more actors for sure...just cant think of them right now. Actresses: Charlize Theron - She does a great acting job in most of her movies. That and she is hot. Kate Beckinsale - She was great in Underworld...and also very hot! Nicole Kidman - She also does a great job in all of her movies.

I figured that I should mention that John Leguizamo (sp?) is good as well. He was in some movie where he played a gay dude, and I actually thought he was gay. Oh, and I haven't seen Super Mario Bros. since I was in Elementary School but I vaguely remember him being good as Luigi. Too bad that movie was gay to the max.

I loved Christopher Walken in The Prophecy, and Viggo Mortensen made a great Lucifer. But the second and third movies were kept alive only by Walken's ability to perform. I have therefore wrote off the fourth and fifth sequels because a porn actor (Kari Wuhrer) cannot replace Walken. I also readily enjoy Robin Williams and Patrick Stewert. James Earl Jones too. He has an amazing voice. I am still warming up to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies - I have seen both of them, but the first one just wasn't what I expected, I didn't think it would try to be funny except maybe in a subtle way, and so that distracted me from the movie. I mean, like, with the second film, we had throats getting slit, and then there was the scene with the sword fight atop the big wheel. Not very...consistent in mood, and that I did not like. But Depp is a good actor, none the less.
