yeah,this thread existed when you was last time around and that was long ago.... we changed croatian/serbian/bosnian threads to balkan thread because there were only few us.. but like month ago its was closed because some ppl were there really inapropriet to mods so they decided to closed it.. i really would like to be opened once again but thats up to mods

well,we all get along here pretty good.. but the problem was that we sometimes used croatian/serbian language without english translation,but we used that only for jokes so that we could understand it becuase they lost their meaning in english translation

Nice to see Croatian thread opened again, that Balkan really didn't work well, but there are just few of us that are still active here on metalstorm.

The Albanians proposed that Estonians should erect a monument for Skanderbeg in Tallinn, Estonia because there's so much alike in the histories of these two little states....both have suffered a lot...both have neighbours who hate'em....both have been occupied and then become independent and occupied again and independent etc....

I am really glad the town council of Tallinn refused......what's next? Monument for Vlad Tepes Dracula on TianAnMen?

Maybe Im stupid and dum and retured but what is ''Skanderbeg ''

He was a Greek hero that lived in territory of todays Albania who fought the Turk, since Albania was not even planned back then but today Albanian territory covers that area they stole him as their national hero.

His name was Giorgos Kastrioti, typical Greek name, Albanian did not even existed as a nation back then and were bunch of mountain tribes of sheep keepers, he was from a Greek noble family, his mother was Serbian and his father was a Geek noble, he did not had any connection with Albania. Albanian national flag is his flag, as you can see, it is really simialr to the Byzantine eagle as Greek Nobles used to take for their coat of arms.

It would be nice to bring it back to life though...maybe these mods would allow us to reopen the balkans thread if we promise to be good puppies.

I am in Rijeka now, I'm walking to my faculty because I'm not too far from where it is. It can be exhausting to travel every day, how far are you from Split?
