I personally think Anette>Tarja. Anette's voice goes better with the new stuff the band is coming out with. Saying that I think Tarja does a better job at the old songs.

It'll probably turn out good but I still will not see it as a Nightwish album.

As Heissayen said, she's a good POP singer. Not a METAL singer. And Nightwish has been dead for me since the new album, this is their chance to make up for it. In any way, this is going to be interesting.

Exactly my thoughts.

Anette is nowhere near Tarja's level of technicality and register, but her attitude is more fan-friendly. I am looking forward to Tuomas' new deployment of talent

Remember people, at the time Tuomas wrote DPP he didn't know witch level of vocalist they would get or her vocal techniques, but DPP turned out to be really good as well And this time he know Anette's vocal skills and he know what kind of songs he can write for her, so I think this will turn out to be a really good piece of music. I will always support them anyway, they have turned out to be a really big part of my daily life.

I'm glad she updated us on the baby. I was starting to wonder about that. Now though, I can sleep easy.

While I do think Tarja is a much, much better singer than Anette, let's face facts here - ANETTE is the one singing for Nightwish now. So, we all need to accept that. Hell, she's been with them a few years now, so everyone should have accepted it by now! I'm excited about the new album. Hope all goes well with Anette and the baby, too.

Well, this is gonna be much anticipated, coz this album will be either very gud, or tragically awful, and I mean Vocally not musically, coz I have no doubt in Tuomas talents...

It's sooo far off.....

I find it pretty cool that the new album is being progressed. Also, I am looking forward to the baby being born as well. Motherhood is a monumental responsibility.

Wish they would be quicker...

Dark Passion Play is amazing! i think i must be unique in loving both versions of Nightwish. Can't wait to see how Tuomas will top 'The poet and the pendulum'

I had high hopes that the album will be out at the end of this year, I can't wait to hear it! ... But I will have to, it seems . Oh well, at least it's for a good reason - a child is always worth it. . I hope they visit Bulgaria in the next tour, I'd love to see them.

Tarja is an opera singer, Annete's not. So how can we compare? We can't. So let's just move on.

You're not the only one. I also like both nightwish eras. End of an Era is a fantastic dvd and when I listen to it I'm a bit sad because obviously Annete can't sing the old songs like Tarja did, but I also like Dark Passion Play and I can't imagine Tarja singing the new song like Annette does. So for me is a tie.
